Can you use Zoom with this unit null

I bought the computer 2 days ago. I tried to download Zoom yesterday and couldn’t because of the S mode. I started to switch out of it because I need Zoom for my job, but I read that switching out affects the overall performance of the computer and that it prevents malware. I’m considering returning the computer.
