HP tests all laptops for things like sound and video quality and they have to meet a minimum standard. For some features, headphones might be recommended. As personal preferences can vary and not everyone hears the same, it is recommended that any sound demo's be done in person to find if it suits your needs.

HP's answer is the closest to the true one. "Good sound" is a personal opinion. I "personally" find the sound on all laptops to be insufficient for anything more than basic purposes, such as Zoom or Skype, and recocommend headphones or, if you are in a frequently visited and secure situation (work, home), a set of external speakers. Even cheap external ones are usually better.
