There are no lights on the top of the laptop, so no light on the power button. There are some small lights on the right side to indicate it is on, wifi and the hard drive is busy. It comes with a built in web cam. There is also a built in DVD/CD player on the right side. Yea on the Ethernet port. The picture quality is good although ibthimk my old Toshiba was a little brighter bit I have not done anything to adjust on this computer. I was a little skeptical when I opened the box if I was going to like this as it just felt like it was cheaper than my old one but I decided to keep it. This i7 is definitely faster then my older one with its i7. I also added another stick if ddr4 memory to it. It comes with 8 and I added 8 more. However on all my other lap tops it was simple as there is an access door on the bottom to change the memory or the hard drive, this computer you have to disassemble the entire case to get access to any of that. Not hard, there are a few hidden screws, some you tube videos, but hardly anything you would like to do to a brand new machine.

Yes it is cd/dvd compatable. I think the screen quality is great. I'm not using it for high def. but wouldn't hesitate to watch a movie on it. I don't use an ethernet port and don't really know what it looks like. There is a large port on the side that could certainly be ethernet. I am very happy with this laptop. Set up was very quick and it loads everything fast.

Please try again later.No indicatior light on on/off button. the only light Ive seen on the keyboard is the caps lock button when you've clicked it ethernet port is on the left side in between the vent and HDMI port (I use that since Im dont have wifi) Yes theres a webcam, and its a good quality picture as long as you are using good lighting CD/DVD door is on the right side. Screen quality is clear and crisp
