I purchased this HP Envy to replace my HP Pavilion which was 5 years old and ran great until it started overheating. The best thing about the Envy is I kept my 17 inch screen size and it's lighter than my old laptop. Windows 10 is hard to get used to and this keyboard is much more sensitive. Overall, I would recommend it.

Now that I have it loaded correctly, it seems to be a pretty fast computer. Also, I'm an old guy so I like the size of the big screen. The price I paid to Best Buy was very competitive too.

I have owned this computer for a few days and have been loading software and customizing it. I like it very much. My only criticism so far is rhat the Windows 10 Operating System is not as intuitive as is Windows 7. For example in Windows 10 the directory App Data is hidden. More on that another time. I like it because the machine, itself, is fast. It has backward compatibility with older software, it reportedly can handle Adobe Photo Shop (yet to try), have been using it to watch TV. It has an I7 chip for a very low price. Before you buy this computer look at the question and answer section at Best Buy to make sure it is a fit for you. As for me, I expect to buy another one. Also my compliments to the Geek Suad who set up the computer and met with me before I took it home.

This was a Deal of the Day that happened to be there the same time frame my previous laptop's hard drive crumped (6 years old). Checked around online against the price and specs and nothing came close. Store personnel were surprised too at the price (actual laptop not available in store). Purchased and received a week later. Has performed as expected. No complaints. Recommend this laptop. It is an I7, has enough memory for me, and has two USB 3.0 ports (many have just one with two 2.0 ones) and one 2.0. And lighter than my previous 15.3" screen laptop.

I wanted a laptop that had a numeric keypad. There aren't a lot of options for that anymore that fall within my price range. I think there was a sale on this one, so I got it for a decent price. The only complaint I have is that I seem to type faster than the computer can keep up with - I don't know if it's me or the system, but it does bother me some.

This is the perfect computer for the person who likes to do social media, check email frequently, shop frequently, and just generally stay on the computer off and on all day. I am quite sure there is more to accomplish with this computer, but this is all I can personally attest to.

This computer is much larger than I thought and I love it. I like the keyboard layout and the visuals. The keyboard is easy to access and very smooth.

It’s nice but wish the key board would light up. I failed to check that before buying.

I'm enjoying having a 17 inch screen for a laptop, but still don't care for Windows 10!

This computer was a great value and Best Buy beat Amazon's price. So far no issues.

It's a decently fast laptop, but I figured with a new, i7 processor, it would be much faster. I don't know why they don't put 16 gb of RAM in this laptop. I'm guessing I can't replace memory myself, as there are no customer accessible doors on the bottom to upgrade memory. I'm guessing that's to get more money for the technicians to do something as simple as replacing memory. It's locked up on me a few times and I don't have that much on it. It seems to be that 8 gb of RAM is not enough to run my DJ software, especially video. Good thing it's only a backup, although I purchased it with the thought of having this be my main laptop for gigs. For everything else, it's fine. I'll have to bite the bullet and see if I can get memory upgraded.
