• Perhaps as an inducement, since even with the substantial discount and huge amount of RAM, this laptop is way overpriced, considering the CPU. which is just slightly better than my 6-year old Dell.

• I did not purchase mine from best buy but mine does not overheat and i never hear the fan at all.
