• Microsoft Office is not on this from the factory. All of google's stuff is preinstalled on there for word processing, spreadsheets, power points, etc. If you need Microsoft Office products you can download it in the google play store, not sure what the cost is though.

• Yes... but note that you'd need to use Google Drive and the Google drive apps for this (Google Docs, etc.). It doesn't have the Microsoft apps installed and I'm not sure if you can install them. Typically chromebooks aren't use to store these apps and files locally, rather everything is done through Google drive.
