It will connect via an hdmi usb c adapter on your MacBook Pro, but I’d go with a better monitor for photo editing. The contrast ratio isn’t amazing on this screen.

Whether it's "good" for photo editing depends on what kind of photos you're editing and what they're used for. The monitor has 99% sRGB color response, so if you're going to be editing photos that are used entirely on the web, it's fine.
