• Did you check to see if the Pavilion one is a glossy screen, or a matte one? This one is a matte finish, which is non-glare.

• Good question. This 1 has 1 HDMI port with a contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1 and the Pavilion monitor has 2 HDMI ports with a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1. I hope this helps.
