They keyboard and mouse both require batteries, maybe double check orientation if you already put them in. There is a very small usb Bluetooth adapter that must be plugged into a usb slot for the connection, the diagram shows a specific port on the back. I didn’t have to search or connect my keyboard and mouse, but you might go into the Bluetooth settings and see if they look connected. Good luck, hope this helps

Each has an "off" switch, make sure it's "on". There is a unifying USB receiver, connect it to one of the USB ports. Do not fiddle with the Bluetooth settings on the PC, as someone has commented. The mouse and keyboard are not affected by Bluetooth settings. Please reach out to Support.HP.com (800-474-6836) should you need more assistance.
