“I have to use the function keys (F keys) on the keyboard - is there a way to change it so so I can use the F1-F12 instead of having to press the FN key and then F1, F2, etc.? I already tried the FN key along with caps lock and it does not work”

If you want to be able to use the function that is on the function keys (also referred to as Action keys) such as volume up (+) or down (-), you can simply press that key to lower or raise the volume. If you want to use the function keys, you only need to press the fn than the key.
