The 2020 MacBook Air has Thunderbolt 3 digital video output and can give VGA, HDMI, and Thunderbolt 2 output using adapters. The monitor comes with an HDMI cable. So you need something like this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/j5create-usb-type-c-to-hdmi-video-adapter-gray-white/6201446.p?skuId=6201446
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Olan, To connect this monitor to my 2018 MacBook Pro I purchased an ultra drive dock by j5create https://www.bestbuy.com/site/p/6115810.p (it connected the HDMI cable). You can also purchase the Apple -USB Type C multi connector https://www.bestbuy.com/site/apple-usb-type-c-digital-av-multiport-adapter-white/5596800.p?skuId=5596800 (a. few dollars cheaper) and many other converters are also available for less as well. I also bought an Apple mouse and Apple keyboard but any other will work fine. I am thinking to purchase the trackpad next (maybe). Hope this answers your question.
