• The monitor does not come with an adaptor, but has the hookups for both HDMI and VGA. Most laptops (except Macbook Airs) have an HDMI port now that should allow you to connect a monitor through. Otherwise you may consider figuring out a wireless setup to broadcast what's on your laptop to a monitor or small TV screen.

• The HP 24f monitor has both VGA and HDMI inputs. Most likely your laptop has HDMI and should not have any issues connecting to this monitor. If your laptop has a video port other than HDMI, then you would need to buy an adapter.
