For 144Hz you need to go to your Windows display settings, hit the Advanced Display settings button at the bottom of the page. Under the monitor listing, hit Display adapter properties for display #. In the pop up hit the monitor tab, and change the drop down menu to 144Hz. For the 1 ms you need to navigate the monitor's OSD menu. It's under Menu>Image Control>Response Time

HDMI or DP port doesn't matter both will work. right click on your desktop and go to nvidia control panel. once your there go to change resolution. now you will see setting for ultra HD, HD, SD that's where they will stay 60hz you need to go to your display that has 144 and select a pc resolution. there you will see it will change from 60hz to 144hz. your welcome
