“I see the product depth WITHOUT the stand is 8.5 inches--ok. What about WITH the stand? I have a desk that is not very deep on the second monitor side (no keyboard) need to make sure it will be stable over there.”

That 8.5 inches is the depth (front to back) with the stand connected.
