display cables must go from the pc to the monitor. if your PC has two DisplayPort connectors, you would have two connections, PC to DisplayPort on Monitor 1and and PC to DisplayPort on monitor2 your PC mfr and graphics card mfr will have more info for you. you also have to configure Windows to support a dual monitor set up. There is a great deal of info on dual monitor setup on the web.
