• You could, as there are two HDMI inputs, however there are no speakers, so you'd have to use an external speaker/sound system.

• Yes you can, it has two HDMI inputs so one for the DirectTV and one for the computer, but they are NOT P.I.P.

• It is a desktop monitor but it has hdmi, you can use it with anything. A TV has a lower refresh rate than this monitor so this will work better with both of your options.
