How can this monitor be on sale a listed as sold out? null

Everyone bought it before you. This was probably an item not sold in stores, so the allocation in the distribution centers was not enough to supply demand.

It is sold out, but can be ordered.

They only have so much stock allocated for the sale, so chances are it sold out by the time you tried to check/purchase. Considering the brand, quality, screen size, and the Black Friday 2016 sale making it almost 50% off its normal price, this thing probably attracted a lot of buyers. In-store wasn't any better, either. The first Best Buy I went to sold out quickly, and I was only so lucky to find and get the last one at a different BB across town.
