“With the screen being so thin doe/s it feel strong or is the likelyhood of it being damaged in transport from home to office or just through standard bumping more of a risk compared to the HP 27vx Model for example?”

I find the quality of this monitor despite how thin it is to be very durable. But with any electronic equipment that you covet, be careful in the way you transport the monitor between office and home. I have cargo blocks that attach to the inside surface of my truck with velcro. You can get a set of them on Amazon. Those would be good for transporting in the trunk along with maybe wrapping the screen portion in a soft sheet or towel to for extra buffer against bumpy roads.
