You will not be able to daisy-chain the HDMI monitors. Each monitor will need its own video out port. Only DisplayPort v1.2 or Thunderbolt allow for daisy-chain monitors. This link has more info https://store.hp.com/us/en/tech-takes/how-to-daisy-chain-monitors

Yes and no. You couldn’t do it with a single HDMI cord. You would need 1 HDMI into one monitor, and then a second HDMI to the other. I’m assuming your laptop doesn’t have multiple HDMI outputs, so you would have to use either a special splitter that provides a second one or a VGA to Plug in the second monitor.
