- Answer Recently, I bought a new HP laser printer that takes 414A cartridges. These cartridges will NOT work on my old HP laser printer. I'm not familiar with 452dn/452dw. My advice is to check with Hewlett Packard directly.

- Answer All laser printers use pigment based toner. The only place you'll find dye based ink is in inkjet printers, commonly for home and photo use. The 414A toner cartridges will be just fine.
