Hello. Thanks for your question. With HP Instant Ink, you now have the option to choose the Vacation mode once during a 12 month period. The Vacation Mode allows you to pause the plan for up to 4 months. You can print up to 15 pages per month with no charge during vacation. If you need more than 15 pages during the Vacation Mode, you can pay a $1 for a set of 10 pages. There are extra charges at the end of your billing cycle, but the real problem is HP will stop you from using any ink you have left. The cartridges from this program only work as long as you are subscribed. When you cancel, you have the rest of that billing cycle to use up the ink, WHICH THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR IF YOU GO OVER YOUR LIMIT. All in all, this sounds like a good idea on paper, but this program is essentially a hostage situation unless you print the same amount every month.
