There are two "blacks". 564 Black or 564XL Black fit in the document black slot (Pentagon symbol). 564 Photo or 564XL Photo fit in the Photo Black slot (Bowtie symbol). You can not mix and match where the ink goes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NO YOU NEED TO BUY THE PHOTO CARTRIDGE BEST BUY HAS A GOOD PRICE ON IT. HOPE THIS HELPS
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you need to buy the 564 XL photo black for that spot.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The "Photo" Black and the Regular Black ink cartridges are NOT interchangeable. There is a completely different slot for each in printers so check which ink cartridge you actually need.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The fine print on the back of the 564-XL states that it is to be used in 5 cartridge printers and does not replace the 564 black. My HP Photosmart 7520 uses three 564 color, one 564 black (wider) and one 564-XL black. My guess is that it has something to do with photo printing, of which I do very little.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Some of the printers have four slots for ink cartridges and some have five. The one with five slots has two slots for black ink. One is for photos the other is wider and is for printing documents.
