“How control which black cartrdg in C309g will print? It's not clear how to control which black ink cartridge my hpC309g will use -- I wish to know how to choose between the regular 564 black cartridge and the 564 photoblack cartridge when setting up to print. I don't know which pre-configured print settings use which cartridge. Hp "help" for the printer said nothing about this at all that I could find...thanks.”

They use a silly symbol to decipher the difference on mine (and it is so annoying)...the photo black is a bowtie shape and the plain black ink is a pentagon shape. Hope that helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In order to print accurate shades of black and gray, the printer will automatically use whichever cartridge it needs. There is not an option to choose which cartridge it will be printing from.
