“Are the setup cartridges that come with the HP Officejet 4620 just as good to use as the XL replacements? I was told at the store that ink cartridges were not included and that I needed to buy them separately. I'm sure I'll need them eventually but it seems like it was not necessary to make this purchase today, unless I am missing something. Please advise, thanks.”

I would think that the setup cartridges are comparable but probably don't have a lot of ink in them. I do find that the XL cartridges last a bit longer but I don't always order the XL size. I usually try to look for sale prices on the cartridges, normal size as well as XL size and order the ones on sale. Hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The ones that DO come with it work fine as far as quality but do not last nearly as long as the XL. I print out every day a lot and had a feeling when I bought the printer, so purchased cartridges right away. I'm very glad I did.
