You will get more than double the amount of pages from the 60XL cartridge. Just make sure that XL cartridges are compatible with your printer.

XL is high yield; lets you print more pages than the 60

Tri-color ink is used specifically for color printing, while 60XL ink is also compatible with HP 60, and has more ink, so you can therefore print more.

XL contains 3x more (according to manufacturer). It behooves you to buy this one if you dislike spending time buying ink.

XL just means that you get more ink, so more expected outcome

The 60XL has two and a half times more ink.

The big difference is that HP60 gives you about 165 pages printed and the HP60xl gives you about 440 pages printed. The price difference is about $22 more for the HP60 xl. I hope this helps answer your question.
