Please try again later.yes. any ink cartridge can dry out without use. you could try to clean the print head and see if it will clear, but otherwise you'll just have to replace it. the printer estimates the ink levels based on the print jobs its has done since the cartridge was replaced. it doesn't actually measure it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Although there may still be liquid ink in the cartridge, the microscopic jets can dry and plug up. SOMETIMES (as in pretty rarely), cleaning with pure ethanol and then allowing the surface to dry, followed by a print head cleaning and recalibration by the printer, will work. And sometimes the plug can't be budged.
