“Is the hp 61 black ink ok for archival use in scrap books?”

• I would invest in a office-capable laser printer for archival work, rather than the cheaper ink cartridge-based printer that can smudge.

• Colors haven't faded in over 8 years and no staining/leaching onto other pages so this product may be what you're looking for.

• Thank you for the question. Yes, documents and photos printed with genuine HP ink will last for years, and even up to 200 years if kept in "dark storage" and printed on proper paper.
