“Can I use a high yield black cartridge (65) with a standard color cartridge (65) for my 5055 printer or do both cartridges have to be the same”

• standard and XL is just for how much ink cartridge holds. The actual cartridge is the same size so you should be able to use either size without both being the same.

• The XL65 black cartridge will work alongside the standard 65 color cartridges. Good luck!
