Depending on the type of virus scanning software you have, it should give you an option to scan USB devices. I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your scanning software for more information.

QuestionDoes the 8GB USB Flash Drive need to be reformatted for use on a Mac OS X?I know NTFS is for Windows only. Fat32 will work for both Windows and Mac. But Mac OS X uses its own file system HFS and/or HFS+.
