A print cartridge can be installed in a printer any time during its 18 month shelf life. If it is installed after 18 months accumulated pigments, congealing, and/or hardening ink may adversely affect product performance. TIJ 2.5 ink products have a maximum expected life of 24 months. This is calculated as follows: 18 months shelf life + 6 months (installed in the printer) = maximum expected life.
