“Now I'm stopping instant ink contract. so can i just replace the black cartridge and remove the instant ink colour ones, keeping the slots empty? or do i have to buy the regular colour ones and install them for the printer to work?”

• Thank you for your question! You will need to replace all Instant Ink cartridges when you cancel. Only certain two-cartridge models have an option called Single Cartridge Mode. I recommend finding your model's manual at the HP Support site to see if your printer has this mode.
