• XL or High Yield means you can print more pages than with the standard 910 cartridge. There is more ink in the XL cartridge and the extra cost more than pays for the benefit of printing more pages.

• Hello Marge and thank you for your question. High yield on the HP 910XL (high yield designated by XL in this case) means that the ink cartridge has more ink in it than its standard (HP 910) counterpart. The ink will last longer.
