• Unfortunately no, the OfficeJet Pro 8600 models cannot use the 940 ink cartridges.

• The HP 8600 pro uses the 951 series.

• This HP Printer is not compatible with the HP 940 Ink Cartridges. It is only compatible with the HP 950, 950XL, 951, and 951XL Ink Cartridges.
