There should be no problem using that printer with the Chromebase.

It would have been good to know what this device is, which I verified is a printer. If it is a modern printer I can't imagine why it wouldn't connect. I have a 10-year old printer that connects, though it happens to also be an HP. So in the end, you may have to try it to know, as clearly HP (who answer other questions here) didn't answer this one...
