• This HP Printer supports the Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP SP3 or higher (32-bit only) operating systems, and has wireless and USB connections. If your notebook has one of the above operating systems and a USB or Wireless connectivity you should not have any problems but HP cannot guarantee compatibility because HP does not test or support third party products like Gateway.

• Yes, if your laptop doesn't have wifi you can still print by using a printer cable, well as long as your laptop has usb ports.
