Yes it can be scanned and saved in PDF but it cannot be double-sided

If you use the correct scanning software on your computer, it will allow documents scanned by the HP DeskJet 2734e to be saved as PDFs. That same software can also save a scan of several pages as a single file. You would have to manually reverse the pages to scan the second side as the 2734e does not have the ability to do that automatically.
