Hello, thank you for your question. The trial of HP Instant Ink will begin when you opt into the free HP+ program and enter your information for Instant Ink. You must choose to opt into it, it is not automatic and it is optional (you may choose 'Skip' to choose not to opt into the Instant Ink program, but you may not get the free trial if you change your mind later). The price may vary depending on your plan selection, but you will not be charged until the end of your trial period. You may cancel or change your plan at any time from the HP Instant Ink website by clicking 'Sign In' and accessing your account.
