Yes you can! The hp smart app is on the app store and is used to set up the printer. Set up the printer with my 2017 Macbook Air and it works just fine and I use it to print what I need.

This DeskJet 2734e printer is compatible with macOS 10.12 Sierra; macOS 10.14 Mojave; macOS 10.15 Catalina; macOS 11 Big Sur.
