The most common cause of paper jams is using low quality paper. Always use premium paper and never load any paper that has gotten wrinkled or that has become curved at any of the edges.

The HP SUPPORT YouTube channel has a great video on clearing paper jams, even the small scraps that we cannot see. Do not fill the paper tray beyond the maximum of 60 sheets, and ensure that the paper guides are not too snug against the paper stack. Do not use paper thicker than 32# for plain paper (20# recommended), 110# for cards, and 145# for photo paper. If you are following these guidelines and still experiencing problems with paper jams, please reach out to Support.HP.com or call 800-474-6836 for assistance.
