• The 6 free months of Instant ink is initiated when you set up the Deskjet 2755e printer. It will ask you if you want to sign up for Instant Ink and if you indicate that you do, you will choose the plan (page amount) and you will then get ink sent to you whenever you run low, for the next six months. If you don't sign up at the time you set up your printer, you will forego the 6 free months.

• When I set up my printer, I used the HP app. During the set up, it will ask you if want to sign up for the service. There was an issue with entering a code, but it wasn't really needed. They sent my first replacement ink cartridges a week ago, and the printer will actually order the ink for you. The most important part is that the printer has to be connected to Internet in order for it to communicate with HP services.
