No. I am a nurse & thinking back on school, I printed tons of stuff out, lessons/notes, etc. This printer is super slow, takes forever for a page, doesn't do both sides. If I were still in school & had things I needed to print regularly, I would spend slightly more on a better printer. Only reason to get this printer is if you don't print much and if you do you only print very basic text docs. Good luck in nursing school!
