• Yes, there is a bay and both power and SATA cables are included and already installed. All is ready to just plug in your HDD.

• If you have a 3.5" SATA drive in your old box, it's already prewired for one and a spot to mount it. (My 3.5" drive's just sitting loose in there, 'til I'm thru testing stuff. Works great, tho.)

• Can the CPU be moved to a 550 motherboard? --. Yes; Is there a photo of the motherboard? Look for "Erica 5" online or for similar computer models in Youtube. Sall these MoBos look similar --very basic; Could a atx power supply be modded to the case? Not easily, no.

• The spec's say yes there is space for hard drive,as for cables, the power supply could be low end so you may need to swap out your old power supply with all your cables or you can purchase one for 50 or so.
