Ethernet is not wifi, and games work faster over ethernet because wifi is a receiver in the middle.
Ethernet and wifi have parameters for traffic but, why add another delay issue by using wifi.
Wifi is for laptops, IoT, and a remote network situation. At home, it might be nice to game-on from
your room on the bed, but that wifi travels there and back. Wired is direct and an open pipe for LAN.
You can ditch Wifi if you have one computer to use, and nothing else depends on wifi to connect.
