• 16gb is the max for two reasons, 1. There are only 2 memory sockets in this laptop 2. The max size available in a single stick of DDR3 laptop memory is 8gb. And there's also the matter of the socket limitation of 8gb. The total memory the processor can handle is 32gb, but the machine is limited to 16gb.
