Hello, Pop56, thank you for your question on this HP Envy 16" laptop. This model does not come with an optical (CD) drive.

No optical drive. For those still asking about these, the optical drive is quickly going the way of the Dodo. They add weight to the machine, take up space (so the manufacturer can't make the device slimmer), and are MUCH slower than the USB drives. There are still a few machines that do have them, if you absolutely need that feature integrated into your PC. You can also buy an external optical drive, ranging from CD to Blu-Ray.
