• It has back light options. The button up top turn them on and off.

• Hi Gary, thanks for your question. You can turn the backlight on and off by pressing one of the F keys. The exact key can vary depending on the laptop model, but check across the top of the F keys for a backlight key. I believe it is above the number 4 key on the top row of this model.
