• This is a standard 1TB 7200rpm drive--it is NOT hybrid, not is it SSD.

• This model is all HDD, there is not a second SSD on board. However, I'm very happy with this laptop, its factory default startup is from sleep mode. It's quick. Settings can also be changed to full shut down and boot up if desired; even this is not inconveniently slow. I love the touch screen!

• It seems like the people answering don't understand the question. I was not asking if it has a HDD *and* an SSD. I'm asking if it has a hybrid hard drive. That's a standard hard drive with some memory chips onboard the controller where the most-frequently accessed files are stored to help speed things up. I don't believe it does.
