This is a great laptop! I have no problems running online games with the NVIDIA GEFORCE graphics card and CORE i7 inside. Large screen with a vibrant display. Light up key board is also nice. I've been using this laptop for about a month now and I'm happy with it's performance so far.

Does everything I need it to do,pictures,music!,Games. Love the bigger screen,wasn't sure about the size at first but I'm glad I got it after using it.

Just what the doctor ordered for my niece going for her PHD in law. More than enough system power for research, scholastic courses preparations for her students, and everyday use surfing the internet. Touch screen is a plus, granting the user an alternative to using the keyboard or mouse. The video graphics are spot on for video collaboration with family, friends, and co-workers. She's has called me on several occasions thanking me for the wonderful gift.

While it took a little time to get use to the touch pad mouse I now love my Envy. The design is thin and light so it is so easy to carry with me on the go! I also love the big screen especially when watching movies! My third HP and my favorite thus far!

I purchased this laptop exactly a week ago today for my business and after changing the background for the screen, I noticed the picture that I am attaching to my review on the right lower corner being distorted. I haven't even had a chance to use the touchscreen as I just loaded some of our company's programs and that's been about it. I contacted Best Buy regarding this issue and will be taking it back on Thursday for them to look at it. I realize things happen but having a screen distorted like this when it is only a week old and hasn't even barely been touched or used for the purpose of the purchase is alarming! Spending over $1,000 on something should definitely hold up for longer than a week. Hopefully Best Buy steps up to their guarantee on Thursday concerning my issues!

I got this laptop last month and have already had some issues. It has froze on me and I got this small little box only showing on the screen. I have to reboot for it to go away. I had this exact same laptop for a year and a half and the same thing happened. The digital screen started going out on it. I didn't get a warranty on it though. Also this laptop brightness option is just gone and it's a known issue for this laptop. Supposedly you have to download new servers. I have to take it back to Best Buy to get it fixed, since don't know how to do it myself. Glad I got a warranty for this laptop since it's been a month and already having issues.

I was looking to upgrade my 6yr old desktop with WindowsXP for my bookkeeping and also needed a laptop for travel. I decided instead to go with the HP Envy 17.3" laptop to take care of both. It is a little larger that I wanted for travel, but at the same time I can keep up with my books no matter where I am. I am still learning to navigate on Windows10 but it is getting easier every day. I love it.

This is my 5th laptop in as many years and this is the most powerful and best one yet. The price was very reasonable, and I would buy this one again if I needed another one.

I could not have been happier. This laptop is SUPER FAST. Beautiful picture and cd/dvd player is a great addition. Tons of storage, lots of memory, absolutely no lag switching between apps. HP Assistant is a great tool, keeps everything updated and informs you of anything that requires your attention. Webcam displays beautiful picture. I cannot say enough good things about this laptop. It has latest generation intel processor, so this machine will serve me for some time. Very, very good purchase

I purchased this primarily to use for work when I telecommute. My company issued laptop has a 14inch screen, so I was looking for a 17 inch to use to work from home. The best Windows laptop I have ever owned. I cannot speak to reliability as have only had this three weeks. It it amazingly fast with a nice screen. I am not a gamer, so I cannot address that. I do a lot of complex spreadsheets and multi-task a lot which this laptop can handle with ease. Did not come with a lot of bloatware. Did have some, but not nearly as much as I typically see. I don't have a need to operate it on battery much, but did just to test it. Got about 6 hours with heavy usage of Microsoft Office and some web browsing. Has a nice aluminum case. The Bang & Olufsen speakers cannot compare to external speakers, but are the best onboard speakers I have experienced. Nice keyboard layout and is backlit. If you plan on using it as a travel laptop, it is a little on the heavy side at just under 7lbs. Suits my needs perfectly as I only carry it from room to room. If I needed to carry to work on occasion, the weight is not a dealbreaker for me. Purchased on sale for $899. I'm sure there are laptops that score higher, but with a 7th generation i7 processor and 16GB of ram, and 1Tb hard drive(not SSD), I think it is an excellent value,

I choose this laptop for a number of reasons. The memory size mainly and computer speed. I'm a digital artist and wanted quality at a reasonable price. The laptop itself is heavier than expected but I can live with it. I like the option of having a touch screen when I forget I'm not on my iPad. Also, the screen color matches that on my iPad pro and I've noticed that my final prints are closer to what I see on screen. All in all, it was a good balance between cheap and too expensive to justify.

It is Fast laptop and I like the big memory, touch screen, light keyboard and it is easy to use

This laptop was to replace a 5 yr old All-In-One HP computer. I was hesitant to purchase an HP because of issues my mom had with her computer, but after using this laptop for about two mths, I'm happy with this purchase. We needed a computer for my husband to work on his design graphics and use Photoshop and this laptop has been everything we were looking for, without the added cost. Our young daughters also use the computer and I love the 2-in-1 feature where the laptop converts into a tablet. This is how our kids use the laptop most of the time. This is truly a great laptop for us.

I have been buying cheap laptops with predictable results: they are slow and they break. I finally broke down after being prodded by my wife who was tired of hearing me curse every time I opened a laptop, and bought a decent one. I am very pleased with this purchase and love the size of the screen. I watch a lot of movies on it because I travel for a living and this laptop hasn't let me down.

I needed a computer with a big enough screen to share with patients during a consultation. That had enough merory to store the occlusion scans we take. We also wanted a processor that was fast and a video card to support the software

Call me impressed! Excellent design, big clear HD screen, easy to use sealed sleek keyboard (no crumbs get inside), DVD/CD function, W10 (easy), and ready to use out of box (thanks Geeks). No problems at all getting started, and personalizing it for me.. This is a beautiful laptop, runs cool as ice, no hot air blowing out side, and no grinding, rumbling noise at all. Windows 10 getting bad rap, very easy for me to switch from W7 in short time. Easy to ask questions, personalize, and very responsive to searches (W7 not great for giving helpful advice). Lots of bells & whistles so should suit any user from beginner to advanced computer person. Lots of features to keep using this laptop interesting. Will be fun discovering how everything works.

Love the new, improved version of the HP Envy. My old one was 3 yrs old & starting to have some problems. This one is fast, easy to use & navigate. Big screen, lots of memory. Good purchase.

I do not profess to be a techie at all, ergo I like using technology that is easy and troublefree. I chose this envy as I like a large screen, I have tired of desktops, and travel between two homes so needed something I could move around. I LOVE THIS COMPUTER! Resolution is outstanding, interface outstanding, weight is light for the screen size, and huge memory. The keyboard is extremely easy to use, and I actually love Windows 10. As usual, when using a new OS, there are some learning curves, but I found it extremely user friendly. This computer is fantastic! My husband steals it from me all the time....

I'm an architecture student and the only complaints I have are 1. Heavy - I can't carry it for long without having back or shoulder pain. 2. Battery performance - It's supposed to last a lot longer than 2-3 hours per charge but sadly I can only work for a few hours at a time.
