• Thank you for your interest in the HP Envy x360! The stylus pen is sold separately: Make sure the one you purchase is MPP 2.0-compliant, as it will say so on the packaging. Additionally, you will be able to draw, do math problems, sketch out diagrams, and take notes using the stylus pen with this.

• With the right software yes you can write notes but it does not come with any type of stylus of optical pen.
