• I've posted instructions for hard drive replacement as a comment to my initial review. You'll find them there. And don't bother with a 7200 unit; just go with a full SSD.

• Go with SSD. I just did mine and it is night and day. It is hard to open but go to YouTube and search on replacing the drive. There is a detailed video. It is quiet and fast now.

• It can be done, but it's not easy. There are a few "how-to's" on the web, and an excellent one on Amazon. Good luck!
